Close up animals with a pole jam

Ughhhh so my flight to New York landed in Pittsburgh due to thunderstorms and was then cancelled, LAMMMEEE. So I made this edit of a day a week or two ago we went to St. Mary's Glacier. I added some puppy pics to mix it up since we basically all did the same tricks on the same features.

Number 1:?

Unfortunately, we can't pick just one video for number one simply because both these videos are going to be so good in their own right.

Gear Tips - Tip #3

TIP #3 - www.brociety.com maybe you have or have not heard of these types of sites but they put one item up at a time for over 50% off. Some of the stuff is lame but some of it is pretty sick and its real easy to check when you're online. I've bought a number of things from sites like brociety.com like pants, goggles, jackets, shirts, thermals, sweatshirts. The name is kind of um . . . weird, but it's always snowboard stuff and there are some good finds. All the items are brand new which is another good thing about this site. Shipping is reasonable and pretty quick along with a number of options and you can return items easily. It seems they sell pretty much every brand from my experience. For instance heres a Nitro T1 wide, I've seen the non-wide version up before along with some other good decks. They have multiple sizes and colors of items most of the time. This deck is for 59% percent off $160 from $390, pretty good deal

Oh an this just came up while I was writing this. An Analog backpack for %60 off $30 from $75, good deal as well

remarkables NZ - Home of the World's chillest snowboard

Gear Tips - Tip #2

TIP #2 - Another pretty good source for stuff is your friends. Maybe they got a new coat for there birthday or something and don't want there old one. If you like it they'll probably sell it to you for cheap. Also if they're sponsored they probably have extra gear they'll sell to you pretty cheap. I've gotten a lot of decks this way. If you're really broke trade them for food like 3 burritos  for a jacket or something if you have a meal plan at your school or work at a sandwich shop. I traded $40 and some porno for a pair of holden pants once. My friend Charlie has all my old stuff except for his boots bindings and pants.

Gear Tips - Tip #1

So  snowboarding isn't the cheapest sport and winter clothes and accessories can get pretty expensive too. Some are lucky enough to be sponsored but a number of us have to get our gear otherwise. Some can afford to pay full price for everything and get numerous outfits and gear, but a number of us don't have those thousands of dollars to spend. Thats why I decided to give some tips to keep in mind for next season on how you can get things cheaply and keep yourself looking crisp.

TIP #1 - Is when you're on the mountain or in the parking lot to keep your eyes open for things buried in the snow that someone has dropped. Im sure you all have seen dark spots in the snow that may be a rock, branch or something someone dropped. When I'm riding down and see these spots I always check them out. Here are some things I have found in the snow over the past two seasons mainly on the hill and in the parking lot at Keystone and Breckenridge.

pictured . . . .

  • Drake toe strap - hey it could come in handy if a friend or myself loses theirs
  •  Forum spring glove - Maybe I lose my right glove or it rips then I could just use this one.
  •  A pair of burton mittens -  these were in the snow in the back of the Keystone Parking lot at the end of the day when most of the people had left. They probably fell off somebody's car, they're not the most stylish gloves but they will work for a powder day.
  • Scarf -  I found this scarf in the snow at Breckenridge early season two years ago. My face was actually pretty cold that day because it was colder than I thought and I didn't bring anything to cover my face with. But the second time I passed this scarf I picked it up out of the snow and brushed it off and wore it.
  • Hat - found this hat in the parking lot, was pretty dirty with mud but I threw it through the wash and now its all good.
  • Spy goggle bag - can always use these for something.
  • Skullcandy Ear buds - found these on the hill and they still worked! Rubbed the ear buds with a alcohol wipe thing to get any ear wax off them.
not pictured . . . . .

  • Grenade pipe gloves - the shuttle at Breckenridge arrived empty the one day to the parking lot and when we got on and went to the back I saw a pair of gloves so I scooped them up.
  • Oakley A-frames - The last day at Breckenridge this season me and Charlie found a pair of black A-frames with orange lenses. Not the sickest goggles and the foam was all ef'd up but still a pretty sweet find.
  • Cell Phones - I've probably found 2 or 3 cell phones but I have an iPhone so I have always turned them in.
  • Food - Atleast at Breckenridge and Keystone people are always dropping the free Nature Valley Bars everywhere so they're a great find and snack.

And the best thing I've found is . . . . .

A Canon Elph!!! - Yes, I was riding at Keystone early season this past year and was going down and boom I almost ran this thing over. I hoped back up hill and picked this thing up out of the snow. Checked if it worked and yes it did. Thought to myself hmm should I turn it into lost and found? Then I saw the pictures on it of some sweet bro's in Las Vegas drunk at McDonalds and videoing themselves trying to pick up chicks. So I decided to keep it and it's been awesome since.

So keep your eyes open. Some hot items that can be found are iPods, Digital Cameras, gloves, food. People lose stuff everywhere and it's real easy for it to get buried in the snow.  Now this is not saying to steal someone's hot new Ashbury's when they leave them on the table to go get a drink, or to be stealing anyones board because that is not chyll. But at these big resorts tourists leave stuff everywhere so make your own call whether to take it or not. You can also always use the excuse that you're avid environmentalist and you're just trying to keep the mountains clean from the litter of the tourists if someone hassles you.

Number 4: This Video Sucks

This Video Sucks will be this fall's release from Stepchild and 32. I'm hoping that Defective Films is making the video this year but honestly I'm not sure. I'm also hoping for a full part from E-Man Anderson who absolutely slays it and Joey Sexton who is pretty good too. Their rail riding should be very nicely complimented by Stian Solberg's flawless jumping ability.

Number 5:Nice Try

I'm not gonna lie, I'm not too stoked on this video and I'm not too stoked on some of the riders in it but People videos are always good.

My Foreign Vacation - Switzerland

So the last part of my trip I was in Zurich, Switzerland and then took a train to Engelberg the one day which is in the Swiss Alps. Engelberg is at the base of Mt. Titlis. I didn't pick up if it was pronounced tit-less, but it had to be something like that. Mt. Titlis is a ski area too, which seemed kinda sick.  I was so happy not to be wasting away in the desert anymore. Though Egypt messed up my stomach resulting in numerous bathroom visits my entire time there, which was awkward because I was staying with my ex and her mom in her mom's friends house. So I was with 4 chicks and one dude in the house, blowing out the toilet. But besides that I sucked it up and went and saw some sights . . . . .

Zurich was beautiful, really clean, nice cars everywhere, and the water was greyish green which i thought was sick
The countryside on my train ride to Engelberg was amazing. So green and colorful
At the top of the gondola about to get on the tram, couple inches of fresh snow
Top of Mt. Titlis, it was snowing and really foggy up there, the video in the lodge of the terrain park was hilarious, people getting so wild and not landing anything
Fresh snow on the top of Mt. Titlis, June 22nd
People just lock their back wheel to the frame of there bike and flick up the kick stand, they rarely lock it to anything in Zurich. You could just pick there bike up and runoff with it

My Foreign Vacation - Egypt

So we decided the one Saturday afternoon in Greece that the following night we were gonna go to Egypt . . . . .  It was a little intense, especially for me being in a muslim culture for the first time, but here are some pics . . . . .

The Sphynx was sick, but the base looked all restored

The Giza pyramids were unreal, we walked out into the sahara desert around this ridge to look at them from far away

They let us climb up a bit on the pyramids, there was trash and camel poop everywhere around the pyramids

What a weird dick!!!

Abu Simbol was really impressive, check how big that statues are compared to those people

At the Valley of the Kings, where there were lots of crazy tombs

Chyll'n in some tomb with hieroglyphics
